Solihull Academy

About Us

Solihull Academy opened in April 2018 as the borough needed an additional, alternative solution for a number of students for whom mainstream education was simply not working (for a range of reasons).

In our short lifetime we have grown considerably and continue to grow as our provision evolves. Solihull Academy is currently staffed for 150 pupils who have been referred by their home schools or Local Authority.

Outside of the main school (Year 9 - Year 11) we offer:

  • Mercury Centre
    • Social,Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Pathway with Educational Healthcare Plans Year 9 - Year 11.
  • Pathfinder Provision
    • Year 7 - Year 8 (short stay)
  • Saturn Centre
    • 6th Day Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) and Assessment and Intervention Centre Year 7 - Year 11 (short stay).
  • Apollo
    • Solilhull Academy's first primary provision - coming soon in 2024.
  • Orbital
    • Unique provision for students new to the area who have found it difficult to obtain a place within a mainstream setting, usually due to a lack of capacity.
  • The Key
    • Intervention Suite
