The Art department aims to develop the key skills of independence, resilience, confidence and creativity as well as promoting the core ethos of Solihull Academy; to build strong relationships. We offer an effective, inclusive and broad curriculum which considers individual needs and optimises progress for all students from basic and entry level skills to a vocational BTEC qualification. The options within the curriculum offered supports students in achieving their full potential, offering opportunities for self-expression, evaluation, analysis and personal choice within the curriculum, ensuring therapeutic value and development of key thinking skills. In this enabling environment, pupils are encouraged to develop skills and attributes that are transferable to other subject areas and enable pupils to gain access to their future pathway in either education, training or employment.
